Importance of Natural Resources

emlyon business school Artificial Intelligence in Management

The artificial intelligence in
management Institute’s that we are launching is really looking at the
impact of AI and related technologies on work, on organizations but also on
business models and business ecosystems. The Institute will have many actions.
First level will be the research we are opening two research centers, one which
is looking at the impact of AI on work and organization, but the other one which
is overlooking the impact and the opportunities of AI in value creation.
Both research centers will produce research, that will be published but also
will be the core material of innovation. And that’s the second step and second
kind of actions we want to develop within the Institute. How can we create
pedagogical innovation, new modules new, classes, new certificates in relation to
AI and its impact on management, and at the same time how can we build
commercial innovation, meaning how can we exploit this research, how can we develop
a technical transfer approach to make sure that any intellectual property out
of this research is really valued is exploited in models, in licensing, in
startups even to make sure that this research is really an applied research
that is solving someone’s problem and that is really addressing company
difficulty. The AIM Research Centre for work and organization is a social
science research center dedicated to understanding the implications of
artificial intelligence for workers, managers and other stakeholders. We are
building an interdisciplinary community of researchers who conduct rigorous
empirical research grounded in the real world problems facing organizations and
policy makers. We aim to examine the implications and opportunities of
artificial intelligence in the workplace. The center support research projects
on AI and related technologies in the workplace in three domains. The first
relates to the future of work, what are the implications for these technologies
for jobs, for coordination, for expertise and for authority. The second relates to
human resources and labor markets : How are these technologies changing the way
that human resource managers are recruiting and managing employees.
Finally we’re interested in the domain of governance. The governance of these
technologies within organizations and industries. The research center on
digital intelligence in value creation is to analyze the impact of artificial
intelligence in a broad sense including a robotics programmatic advertising on
human interaction. With human interaction I mean and their relationship with the
user it’s not only the customer in the retail inside the store but it could be
the user with the interacting with the machine. I’m thinking about the hotel in
Tokyo with an hotel is launching robot to interact with the customers but
also in the healthcare in the education. We don’t study only the interaction or
how artificial inteligence brings value in human interaction but we study also
how artificial intelligence is shaping the market. And with this I mean we can
consider also the emergence of new business model with the multi-sided
platform, the emergence of Airbnb or Uber, or different other platforms that
are disrupting in some way the market and create and provide value in a
different way. Artificial intelligence is really
changing the way we live and the way we work today. If you look at different
domains like health care but also transport and industries, they will be
all impacted by robotics for instance products will be changed what kind of
products but also what kind of services you will see coming
thanks to artificial intelligence and robotics. But not only the products also
the work itself and the jobs within the companies are being clearly affected.
What are the new jobs within the company, what are the new work to be performed in
organizations, all of this is being also changed by those technologies like AI
robotics blockchain or IOT.
